Deepavali is the Hindu festival celebrating the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
The fact that it falls this year at a time when the victory of good over evil in the US election has never been more important and where the good, the light, and knowledge in that election is represented by a Hindu woman, can hopefully prove to be propitious.
We have suffered almost a decade of evil, darkness, ignorance, racism, and disrespect from a would – be dictator who is incapable of understanding spiritualism, much less Hinduism.
The fact that Deepavali falls at a time in the lunar calendar when ALL Americans can vote will hopefully lead them to vote for good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.
